Brest is a place we had not expected to visit on this trip (Alan had been there before with the RN), however, due to bad weather, we crossed the channel and headed straight for the Rade de Brest.  The picture above shows the whole of the Rade looking from the river towards the sea.  On the right hand side, about the middle of the picture, you will see Port de Plaisance du Moulin Blanc (the marina we called into).
The city of Brest is located at the very top of the Rade de Brest on the French Atlantic coast.  It is in the Galician region of France usually called Brittany.
