Bayona is a LARGE and very beautiful bay at the base of the Rio Miño leading up to Vigo, in Northern Spain. In fact Bayona is almost on the border of Spain and Portugal. After crossing the Bay of Biscay (from La Rochelle) it was a very welcome sight. Here Doreen’s best friend Jenny joined us to help us take Kiah right the way down to the Algarve. So that gave us 5 people on board (Jenny, Doreen, Sandra, Ernie and myself).
Not only is the bay a beautiful view but it was also a treat to head into the back streets of Bayona for some local dishes (lunch and dinner).
This is a very easy place to enter and lots of people were waiting to help as us as we arrived.
